09/18/2004: "Oh, no! It's baaaaaaaack!"
The Religion News Service offers this item for consideration:
A group of nearly 100 Christian theologians urged caution and expressed concern about "misrepresentations" of Jews in Mel Gibson's "The Passion of the Christ" as the blockbuster film was released on DVD.
Now, I don't subscribe to RNS, I just check their one-paragraph summaries daily. It may be that the rest of the story features these "100 Christian theologians" offering a persuasive reason why "caution" is needed at the release of The Passion on DVD when one of the biggest box-office blockbusters of all-time caused not one single anti-Semitic incident during its run earlier this year. But I doubt it.
Give it up, folks, just give it up.
