04/17/2004: "Another Hamas leader goes down"
One of the co-founders of Hamas, Abdel Aziz Rantisi, was killed Saturday evening in a missile attack in Gaza. The UN will condemn, the PA will froth, the EU will sputter, and none will surprise anyone. In the meantime, Israel is a bit safer, and the remaining terror masters more worried that they might be next.

Just like we Americans are now "safer" since Saddam was toppled? That definition of "safer" is somehow oxymoronic.

Not at all. Have you noticed the drop in successful Hamas attacks since Yassin went to rendesvous with his 72 virgins? My point is that I don't think we should underestimate the importance of leadership in the terror gangs. Just because someone will replace a Yassin or a Rantisi doesn't mean that they will bring the same skills to the table. Though I do agree I probably should have qualified this with a "may be..."
